제28회 광주 FISU 컨퍼런스의 개막을 환영하는 리셉션이 7월 11일 오후 7시 광주광역시청 1층 홀에서 열렸다.
The 28th Gwangju FISU Conference Opening reception was on July 11th, 7 PM on the 1st floor of the Gwangju Metropolitan Hall.

이날 행사에는 서강석 호남대 총장과 박상철 호남대 부총장을 비롯해 김황식 광주 U대회 공동조직위원장, 김윤석 광주 U대회 조직위원회 사무총장, 엘리슨 오델 위원장과 국내외 대학스포츠 관계자 등이 참석했으며, FISU 컨퍼런스의 개막을 환영하고 성공적인 진행을 기원하는 시간을 가졌다.
Attending this event were Seo Gang Seok, the president of Honam University; Park Sang Chul, vice president of Honam University; Kim Hwang Sik, Gwangju Univerisade co-chair of the organizing committee; Kim Yoon Seok, secretary general of the Gwangju Universiade organizing committee; chair Alison Odell; and domestic and foreign university sports participants. They celebrated the opening of conference and prayed for successful progress.

국제대학스포츠연맹이 주최하고 광주 U대회 조직위원회와 호남대학교(총장 서강석)가 공동 주관하는 U대회의 공식교육행사 제28회 FISU 컨퍼런스는 ‘국제사회에 대한 대학스포츠의 영향’을 주제로 오는 14일까지 호남대학교 일원에서 진행될 예정이다.
The 28th FISU conference, which is hosted by the International University Sports Federation and co-supervised by the Gwangju Universiade operating committee and Honam University (President Seo Gang Seok), will continue until July 14. The main theme of this year’s conference is ‘The Impact of University Sports on the Global Community’.
